Should there be any restrictions on how many years a teacher may teach the same subject or grade level? Explain your answer. Support your opinion with specific examples.

There have been several debates on whether or not a teacher should teach the same subject or grade level year after year. Many have argued   it is a good idea because it allows the teacher to become more competent in   the subject matter; while other have argued that it is not a good idea because it will not foster growth. Although I believe both arguments are valid, however, I agree that there shouldn’t be any restrictions on how many years a teacher may teach the same subject or grade level because, it makes the teacher has a mastery over his or her subject matter. It provides higher academic success. It builds a good rapport between a teacher and his or her students.
As it is always said “practice makes perfect” teaching the same subject or grade level makes the teacher has a full grasp on what he or she is teaching. When a teacher teaches the same subject year after year, he or she gain experience through the acquisition of knowledge and therefore learning is facilitated. For example, a teacher teaches a math lesson on integers, implements different methods going from concrete to abstract. He or she uses the number line or space to help students grasp the concept of solving integers before introducing integer rules. This will lead to the student’s better understanding of the concept taught.
Teaching the same subject or grade level not only makes the teacher competent but builds a good rapport between the teacher and students. For instance, a teacher who maintains a good relationship with his or her students builds trust which in turn makes the students comfortable thereby, creating a good learning environment.
Moreover, when a teacher has a mastery over his or her subject matter, builds and maintains a good relationship with students, this creates a high academic success. Teachers who...
