Nkem Morah
Intricate details and complex pieces have captivated my mind in an unforgiving manner, every pattern and design on and any surface never fails to stop me in my tracks. As a kid my eyes were always fixated on the elaborate henna designs, however as time has gone on mandala art and zentagle patterns excited me a lot more. First playfully drawing on my hands and then later on paper I slowly began to appreciate the time, precision and effort that goes into producing a lot of the arts works I admired.  

Textile design is the process by witch designs are incorporated onto printed, woven or knitted fabric. Textile designers create and produce, often repetitive patterns, that are used on clothing, interior decor items and other everyday items. Naturally I swayed towards this form of art and designers like Britt Lispaina and Craig Fellows are names that I soon came to know and appreciate. They have mastered the art of textile design and producing not just flawless but timeless pieces.  

Craig fellows is an award wining textile print designer who has been brought to into my world and now influences some of my work. He has a strong passion for colour and illustration and has successfully managed to combine his fine art with his love of print and textiles. By creating scarves bags and other accessories used in everyday life other people can be apart of his artistic world. With the use of classic and digital printing techniques Craig turns his illustrations into high class hand-made fashion in Britain. This makes his creations unlike any other and truly difficult to obtain in just anywhere else.  
 

As nature is one of his main inspirations, Craig’s work requires detail and precision in order to capture the true nature of the environment around him.
