The people that get to know us best, from our good qualities to our flaws, are our parents. They have the greatest influence in our life because they are the people we see the most and have known for the longest. They sacrifice many things in order to give their children the best life possible. My mother has had a huge impact on my life and it is because of her that I am the person I am today and today where I am She showed me the way into pursuing my dreams and not letting nobody stop me into what I wanted to do in life. She always had the confidence in me that nobody did for me.
My mother helped me to make one of the most important decisions, which is set goals for myself to become a better person and have a better future in life. Having goals not only gives me a clear focus on things, it also help me organize my plans by allowing me to give myself time, limits, and boundaries. That is why I set goals for myself routinely so I can achieve great things in life. One goal that I work hard at daily is to try to do well in high school. I try to involve myself in any activity that I can, both academically and socially, so that I can graduate with honors. The reason why I do this is because I plan on going to college. Going to college alone would be a major achievement for my family and I, because I will be the first person in my family to attend college.
My mother also helped me into being more involved with things outside of school by helping the St.Francis Church. I was never a person who was involved outside school activities. I was always a shy person who thought I could never do anything good but my mother pushed me into trying different things and helping others. Now I am an assistance for the St.Francis Youth Group to help kids to encourage them to learn the meaning of the catholic religion and to get the kids involved to make positive decision and help them strive to be better in life.
