Traveling - Life would be easier and travelling more enjoyable if everything was standardised.

Samuel Johnsen said ones: “The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are”.

To travel has been an important thing in an individual’s life since the very beginning. We do it all the time, every minute, every second simply all the time. We travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns. It’s always interesting to discover new things, different ways of life, to meet different people, to try different food, to listen to different musical rhythms.   If everything were standardized, then everything would be basically the same. While traveling, on the other hand, is something for people to experience. A different view of life.   For some people if everything wasn’t standardized it’s simply brutality to them. Because to travel forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. One of the best things about traveling is that you’re able to experience everyday things as if for the first time and to have the feeling that almost everything is not familiar anymore.   When we travel we want to lose ourselves and we travel to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our local TV-channels and newspapers will accommodate.

Of course the life would be easier if everything was standardized, but what’s the fun in standardization. There’s no room to show off and to express yourself. What makes traveling such a special thing is that you learn new things all the time. We get fascinated by the native language and that gets us to learn it. Why do we travel all the time if it wasn’t for experiencing things we’ve never seen before?   For if every true love story can feel like a journey to a foreign country, where you can’t quite speak the language, and you don’t know where you’re...
