Introduction
What is DSEC?
DSEC stands for Dubai-Spartans Engineering Competition. It is an annual competition (we are in the second one now) that is intended for high school students (grade 11 and 12) who are interested in Computer/Electrical Engineering applications. Students will participate and compete in a friendly, informative and professional atmosphere where they will be able to test their ideas and explore other ideas that will broaden not only their knowledge but also their conception. Moreover, along with the main tournament, there will be an onsite contests open to all students and will not require any advanced preparation.
When: Saturday April 17, 2010.
Where: Michigan State University – Dubai campus.

How can I participate?
Interested students can’t participate as individuals. They have to get schools permission and supervision. Any team of at most three students has to be formed under the supervision of at least one school official (teacher or administrator).
A filled registration-form with a registration-fee of 200 Dirhams must be submitted by February 28, 2010 to: Dr. Boutheina Tlili, email: btlili@msu.edu
Competitions
There is one main competition which is the Robo-Cup Competition. All the information about this competition will be described in the following chapter.
Furthermore, there are three On-Site competitions:
  Math Competition
      Programming Competition
      Electric Circuit Competition
    Information about the On-Site Competition will be provided at the last page of this manual.

After having a successful event last year, we decided to go ahead and organize even a better one this year. The theme of the 2010 DSEC will be directly related to the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Thus, this year we will have a RoboCup and the challenge is to design a football...
