Letter to Daisy

I do hope that this letter reaches you in good health and spirits. I know I don’t live far but with how much Michael and I have been traveling these days it has been almost a year since I have seen you. How is your little girl? I presume she is growing like a weed and driving you absolutely crazy. I hear Jordan Baker is staying with you, how is our dear friend Jordan doing? I miss you both so much! I saw her play in a tournament in South Hampton around 3 months ago, but alas she was so busy we were unable to entertain her. I have not spoken to her in person since your wedding day. We looked so beautiful in those lavender bridesmaids’ dresses you chose. They really brought out my eyes don’t you think? Oh what an occasion your wedding was. And on that note I will get to the point as to why I have written this letter to you.
Daisy, I am concerned for your happiness and well being. You have not been happy with your life since day one of your marriage to Tom Buchanan. I have seen your spark go from a giant fireworks display in the sky to a small flame from a candle about to die. I pray that you already know about what I am going to tell you and that I am not the first bearer of this most distraught news. I write this letter to inform you, give you strength and courage and bring back the Daisy I know and love. I pray it is taken to heart and not taken in anger. Please read this letter in its entirety.
I know that in August following your wedding there was a car accident involving Tom and a chambermaid from the Santa Barbra Hotel in the papers. I do not recall it going any further in the papers due to the belief that Tom paid them to stay quiet. I have recently heard some most distressing things regarding Tom and another woman. I try not to take rumors seriously, but I have from some most reliable sources that Tom is in fact cheating on you. I have heard it from multiple friends and acquaintances. Michael himself has in fact seen Tom out with this woman that others...
