What can married couples do, to avoid divorce?   Approximately   50% of all marriages in America end in divorce. To my belief, Honesty, Respect, Communication, and Love is the key to saving a marriage.
The process of avoiding divorce, is something that should begin at the very beginning of a relationship. Avoiding divorce can be very difficult at times, for various reasons. Patience, communication, honesty and most importantly love will be needed to go through this process. The first thing to do is to get help. Marriage counseling can be a very effective instrument, in putting a marriage that seems to be going down the divorce path, back onto the right track. Counseling helps couples find the root of their marital problems, and try solve them with a little help, from a professional counselor.

By becoming more aware of our own behavior, we can be able to be, less critical and more loving.
Meeting our spouses needs, is another step to bringing a marriage back together.   If we work at meeting our spouse’s needs, he or she will likely do the same for us. Women usually need to feel cherished and loved. Being thoughtful writing love notes, hugging and kissing are all effective ways at demonstrating our devotion. Men, on the other hand, tend to have the need for admiration and respect. Listening to them, carefully considering their opinions, and providing positive reinforcement fulfill that need.
Making time for one another is very important. Find the time to eat dinner together, cuddle on the couch, or take a walk. Find shared interests and activities that give the couple some time together, and   talk openly about the relationship. Most importantly, Pick the battles...
