My keeping fit programme.

  It is popular among young and old people to be in good form. There are many benefits from physical activity, both physical and psychological. Many people do morning exercises, jog in the morning, train themselves in clubs, in different sections and take part in sport competitions. The more movements you do, the easier it is for you to do simple tasks everyday such as climbing the stairs.   If you go in for sports, you will have good health and don't catch a cold.

  Sport takes very important part in my life. I like dancing, jogging, figure skating, walking, so I am very sporty, active and flexible. Flexibility is important, because it prevents my muscles from becoming short and tight.

  I do sport almost every day. Two times a week a have physical trainings at my university, and three times a week I have my own fit programme.

  I always warm-up and stretch, before starting workout. I begin my warm-up with some simple mobility exercises. My aim is to stretch from feet up to head and not to avoid any area. I start with the exercises, that I enjoy doing.

  I stand on one leg, holding a chair for balance and rotate my foot in both directions, then lift and lower the toes.

  I move to the knee joint, holding of a chair; simply bend the leg taking my foot upwards towards my buttocks. I repeat slowly 6-8 times, and then change legs to perform both exercises on the other leg.

  I move to my hip joint. Here again holding for balance, I raise my leg only a few cm (10-20). I repeat 6-8 times making the movements a little larger each time. Keeping the leg straight and under control all the time, I stretch both sides.

  Then I stretch the arms, holding dumbbells in my hands, I bend and straighten arms at the elbow, in a slow motion 8-10 times followed by circular movements in both directions with the wrists. I lift and lower the shoulders upward towards my ears, followed by small circular movements both forward and back for...
