The Holocaust
as we know world war II was an event that changed the perspective of life in a lot of ways, a millions of people lost their family, cities were completely destroyed, depression in world reached the highest levels, and at the same time humans were forced to go to concentration camps where they were exterminated. When I see these atrocities in the movies, books, or even in magazines, I always ask myself this question, how evil a person can be to make this hostility to the human life? With this research paper I want to know how bad humans were treated in the concentration camps, and I also would like to identify what was the purpose of the Nazis on eliminating that enormous amount of population.

The Holocaust is a term generally used to describe the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II; this extermination was sponsored by German Nazis. Some people believe that the definition of holocaust should also include the Nazi's systematic murder of millions of people in other groups, including ethnic poles, Romani, Soviet civilians, People with disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah’s witnesses, and other political and religious opponents. With the addition of these groups the total number of holocaust victims would be between 11 million and 17 million people. In the outcome of the Holocaust, people around the world were shocked by final tallies of human losses, and the people responsible were punished for their inhuman acts. The Holocaust was a dark time in the history of the 20th century.
The persecution and genocide were carried out in stages. A legislation to remove the Jews from civil society was passed years before the outbreak of World War II. Concentration camps were established, the people oppressed were used as slaves until they died of exhaustion or disease.
