In South America there are many countries but the country I would have to choose is Peru. Its religious & political views, as well as the economical and social aspects are the main reasons that caught my interest. It is a well rounded country. I will give explain my reasons to why Peru is the best choice for me.
First of all the religious aspect is mainly Catholic. It is also Roman Catholic. My whole family is Catholic and goes to church every weekend on Sunday. It wouldn’t be so much of a change. The only challenge is finding a good Catholic church.
Second, its political side is a democracy. I like Democracies because of the power of the people who live in Peru have to pick their leaders. It will be just like America but less people. According to our textbook Prentice Hall’s “World Geography”, in Peru, the president’s priority isn’t only the presidency but also to act as the governor.
Thirdly, economy and social aspects are good. In our Geography book it states, “Only 36% of Peru contains poor people. Therefore, there would be about 64% average-rich people.” My family would fit in great because we are the middle class. It would be easier for us to get jobs because of our wealth and schooling. There are also mainly Spanish speakers in Peru and I how to speak a little bit of Spanish.
In conclusion, Peru would be a better choice because of its great aspects like its religious views, democracy, its economy and society. After doing my research I have discovered many things about Peru and even have plans of visiting this country. In my opinion even though it is not the largest or greatest country in South America, it is still a great one.
