During my youth years, I have listened to many opinions about abortion. Today, after hearing as well as participating in the topic’s debate during class, my way of thinking about this fact still did not and will not change. As a Christian, I believe that killing something that is in the womb is murder. It does not matter if the features of the fetus are not showing just yet, or if the heart is not beating, one should not have the right to kill a fetus.
Teenagers are having sex from left to right, and that is all based on the values that they are taught back home. Some parents are telling their kids that they can have sex as long as they use protection. Condoms work most of the times, however, what if they rip? Parents are not thinking about all of the consequences about this major decision.
Furthermore, women that are raped should think about other options other than getting rid off the living being. For example, they could give up the child for adoption to a couple that is not able to have any children. She will be able to choose the family that meets her standards for the child and he or she will actually have a chance to live the life that he or she deserves. Also, the mother can have an open adoption which means that she will be able to see her child, but it depends on some circumstances.
Some women are pushed into getting an abortion because of the reputation of those close to her. For instance, some families could get scare of how their reputation will change if people see their child carrying a baby. Sometimes people will threaten them into getting the abortion. That is because they are scared of how much life will change. I just read some articles about young teens and abortions. A lot of these teens thought about the easy way out. They want to have fun in their teenage years, they were not ready to take care of a child. They regret if for the rest of their lives and they cannot even look at the guy...
