Dear US Health Department,



Do you agree with having every person in America spend a total of $28,710,371,400 to eliminate mononucloesis? I strongly dissagree with making every person in the United States pay $100 to eliminate mono.One reason is because the symptoms are minor and harmless. I also dissagree because mandular fever cures itself over time. Lastly because there are other more important things that $28,710,371,400 could be used for. In my opinion it would be foolish to have every american spend $100 to eliminate mononucleosis.

The symptoms of mononucleosis are acute. Some of the symptoms are sore throat, fever, fatigue, excessive sweative, jaundice and headaches. These symptoms are not fatal and will have no long term effects. Some parts may be affected such as swollen glands, and enlarged spleens, but none of them are permanent. Also mononucleosis mostly affect young adults 14-30All these symptoms can be as brief as two weeks. So as may see, there is no need to eliminate mono.

Secondly mono cures itself over time. All you really need is a lot of rest and usually mono will cure itself in about four weeks. A cure is not needed because while you have mono all you will really feel is tiredness. Sometimes the use of aniti-biodics may help speed up the healing process.

Lastly there are other more important things that   $28,710,371,400 could be used for. For example diseases that may kill such as diabetes or AIDS. Also other diseases have worse symptoms and affect the body in a more harmful manner.. Another reason is that mono can be prevented by not transmitting body fluids, for example by not transmitting saliva by kissing. As you can see $28,710,371,400 can be used in a better way than eliminating mononucleosis.

I hope that you do not make every american pay $100 to eliminate a mild disease. Its symptoms are very mild and body parts are are affected only for a short time. Also mononucleosis cures itself just by...
