Fashion

I am often puzzled by some women who, standing in front of a wardrobe filled with clothes, announce sadly that they have nothing to wear. They are influenced too much by fashion, which appears in a form in the morning and makes a change in another form in the evening. It changes so frequently that the ladies of middle class cannot keep up with it Expensive clothes which have been worn only a few days have to be put aside. Of those who cannot afford fashionable clothes, some compose a list of grievances in their families of make trouble for their husbands, others spend hours of their time altering originally beautiful dresses they have. Wasting vast sums of money or precious hours of time, or sacrificing peaceful family life for fashion, is worth it?
In a sense, this fault is attributed to fashion designers. It is they who are always preaching their views that skirts should be lowered or raised. It is they who mislead many women into wasting time and arguing with their husbands. Moreover, they are only interested in outward appearance and not concerned with vital things such as warmth, comfort or durability. They take advantage of the fact that fashion fort, to pursue so called beauty. What a pitiful sight it is that a woman shivers in a thin dress on a winter day, or delicately staggers along on a slippery road in high-heeled shoes! Fashion designers should be responsible for this mess.
No one can claim that fashion designers contribute nothing to society. They are making women happier and society more beautiful. It is suggested that before starting their design they take into consideration practical value as well as beautiful style. As far as duration is concerned, they should keep it in their minds because our economical situations require us to be thrifty
