Twilight
Twilight is a very famous book. Twilight is Stephanie Meyer's debut novel. Twilight has been a great success and there is also a movie. The book has been translated into 23 languages.
Twilight is a story about a 17-year old Isabella Swan who in the beginning of the book moves from her mother's house to her father's to a little rainy town called Forks. At first Isabella finds Forks dull and boring. But suddenly everything changes when she spots an amazingly gorgeous and quite mysterious boy called Edward Cullen.
At first it seems that Edward dislikes her, but then one day Edward saves Isabella from a car accident using his supernatural abilities. After that they start to get to know each other better. As their relationship starts to develop Isabella starts to spot strange things about Edward. After hearing a local story about vampires Isabella gets quite convinced that Edward is a vampire. Edward reveals that it is true. He is a vampire.
The relationship is very difficult for Edward because at the same time, he is in love with Isabella and thirsts her blood. Then despite Edward's background they fall very deeply in love and the book tells about that for a while. Then something unexpected happens and another vampire takes Isabella as his target and that puts Isabella and her family in a great danger, so she has to escape. After many turns and dangers all ends up well and they continue their relationship.
The language of the book is quite plain and simple. The language isn't quite rich in this book and it can especially be spotted in the adjectives. There are not too many used and the same ones are repeated in this book all the time. This is unfortunate even though it makes it easier for those who don't speak English as their native language. Good things in this book were those dialogs between Isabella and Edward and the way vampires behave in this book is very fascinating.
This book isn't anything special in my opinion. I think that it is just another...
