1. Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha Mission (PBSSM) is the implementing agency for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) in West Bengal. Under this project the construction work of various civil activities like New School Buildings, Additional Class Rooms, Circle Resource Centres, Sanitation Units etc. are undertaken through community participation procedure at various locations in the state of West Bengal. 2. The State Project Director, PBSSM invites “Expression of Interest” from professional consultancy firms for providing consultancy services relating to Third Party Technical Supervision, Monitoring and Quality Assurance for the various works stated above. 3. Document of “Request for Proposal” may be purchased from the office of the State Project Director, nd PBSSM, Bikash Bhavan (2 Floor), Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700 091 on submission of ST and I T documents from Dt. 16-02-2009 to Dt. 16-03-2009 (on working days only) between 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM with non-refundable fee as indicated in the form of Demand Draft on any Scheduled Bank, payable at Kolkata in favour of “Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha Mission”. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the same address. Documents for “Request for Proposal” requested by mail will be dispatched by the registered/speed post on payment of extra amount of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five thousand) only. The State Project Director, PBSSM will not be held responsible for the postal delay, if any, in the delivery of the documents or non-receipt of the same. 4. The bid will consist of two parts – technical and financial which will be delivered in two separate sealed envelopes. An agency can bid for more than one package.
