We all dream of having money. No matter what form of it is in we just wants more of it. We think it will bring us happiness, but form most people it brings them grief. A lot of songs talk about money. Rap plays a big part of the songs that talk about money, not to say that we did not have songs about money before rap. A lot of songs talk about having money and what they do with all the money. Travis McCoy however sings us a song about what would he do if he had money in the song he wrote called billionaire. This song has a soft acoustic guitar, with soft humming like a mother trying to put a baby to sleep. Then a raga drum beat softly come in to become a part of the beat. Then it goes in to an up passed drum beat witch Travis starts to rap in a confident but laidback voice. This song is meant for people who want to have money and all the good that they would do if they have it. These three lyrics that really stuck out to me. The first one is “I want to be a billionaire so fucking bad.” The next one is “I’d probably pull an Angelina and Brad Pitt and adopt a bunch of babies that ain’t never had shit.” Last but not least “Not a single tummy around me would know what hungry was, Eating good sleeping soundly.” these three lyrics are what set this song apart from other songs that talk about money. The song also shines on the fact that most people will never be famous, but if they really want it then they can get it if they work hard and keep having a dream.
The first lyrics that stuck out to me during this song are “I want to be a billionaire so fucking bad.” This is true for so many people. People are willing to do almost anything to become a billionaire. It is hard for a lot of people to put it in words how bad they want something in there life. This is why he uses the word fucking. It is the best word to fill the gap that carries the rhythm of the song. It also lets everyone know how bad he wants it. When people who lesson to this it snaps them to attention...
