As Technology Develops, More Shopping and Business Is Done Through the Internet While Communication Face to Face Becomes Less Frequent. Is This a Positive or a Negative Development?

Nowadays, much more attention than ever before has been paid to the influence of technology with staggering development. Some people assert the vicissitude of technology make citizens more comfortable and convenient, while the others are put in a dilemma, that is, its downsides are far more overt than its benefits. As far as I am concern, the former view is more realistic.

There is no deny that the humanity benefit form the technology revolution. In terms of the proliferation of internet, it is an indispensable role of lifestyle, which makes our life more dynamic and more effective. More precisely, the internet provides a new lifestyle and we can address a vast number of questions through it. For instance, the online-shopping become a fashionable trend in the world, since the online-company, like TAOBAO or ALIBABA, can provide various kinds of service and merchandise. Besides, the technology can make individuals to contact family members and companions easily through the application of software (e.g., MSN, QQ, and SKYPE). As the matter of fact, our traditional life pattern is changing gradually and the human will prefer to depend on the achievement of technology.

Admittedly, we cannot neglect the drawbacks of the technology, which have posed a threat to traditional lifestyle. Apparently, the boundary between work and leisure time is a blurred, as the technology is widespread application. This trend of life pattern creates the alienation between people as well. Despite of that, this is not an excuse to restrain the development and application of technology. In deed, it is obvious that the negative affects of technology exist in our life, but the majority of people use technology reasonably, which provide a convenient way to communicate with others rather than a barrier.

To conclude, it is manifest that our traditional life pattern is changing constantly with the advance of technology. Even so, the sacrifice is worthy, as we indeed acquire more benefits....
