I would like to welcome you to ‘Ground Zero’ and thank you for being here.
      I want to extend appreciation to the people who helped organize events for the Remembering September 11, 2001 ceremony today. A special thank you to all the people who helped donate and helped contribute to the funds.
      --Pause--
      I want to urge that in your September 11 reflections, you will remember
      the love,
      the strength,
      and the hope
      that carried us through and also brought us together today.
      --Pause--
      Please raise your hand if you remember where you were or what you were doing on September 11, 2001.
      --Pause--
      The reason most people remember where they were almost a decade ago is that September 11, 2001 was such a profound day for so many reasons, no American of age at the time will ever forget it.
      --Pause—
      So what is it that most of us remember from that day?
      Some will remember the tragedy,
      or the destruction of the terrorists’ attacks,
      others will remember the many acts of heroism by so many ordinary Americans,
      some may recall how we came together as a nation,
      or even as a world in the aftermath;
      whatever it is that you recall it is important.

      Let’s remember, On September 11, 2001, in New York City there were a series of terrorist attacks upon the United States of America.
      Four commercial passenger jet airliners were hijacked on that morning and two of the planes were crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, causing the collapse of both towers within two hours.
      The third aircraft was crashed into the Pentagon.
      The brave men and women on fourth hijacked aircraft refused to let their plane or their deaths be used to hurt America. They died as heroes, as they retook the plane, crashing it into a field in Pennsylvania instead of allowing the hijacked plane to go on to its...
