Scar   is a mark left on the skin after a wound, burn, or sore has healed over. Scar can also mean   a lasting effect left on somebody's mind by a personal misfortune or unpleasant experience. My   deepest scar started the day I left my country. It was the most terrified most gruesome trip I ever took in my life.
It was the hottest summer ever. I saw kids playing around the street. Women walking to the market. Dogs screeching for food in the dumpsters. The sun heating the earth with its deadly heat. I was walking home from my friends house. I figure I would go home and get one of my grandmas amazing fresh made lemonade. “Hola abuleta hello grandma.” She didn’t respond. I said hello again she turned around and said hi with no enthusiasm. She had a sad face it seemed like she was crying. I asked what was wrong. She walked towards me and told me that am leaving Mexico. In that moment, I felt happy that I was going to go see my mom; however, I felt sad leaving my family especially my grandma. I started to feel my eyes tear up.

“Mijo son don’t cry. This is a good thing that you are going to Untied States. Your going to have a better life.” said my grandma.

“ I don’t want to leave you grandma. Why does everybody say that am going to have better life in the blanco white country grandma.”

“Moving will be a good change for you mijo. You don’t want to see your mom. Don’t cry you will see its going to be ok.”
I felt a cold rough wrinkled hand on my face. I heard my grandma calling me. I woke up staring at her with fright. She told me to get dress. I got up put my only half ripped up shoes my pants and my nice clean white shirt. “Mijo here take this bag pack . It has a shirt and a sweater. I put the money in the bag pack also.” said grandma.
“Where are we going grandma?”
“Am taking you to the man who is going to lead you to California. Where your mom is. Don’t give the coyote the man the money until he takes all the way to your mom. Do you understand mijo.”...
