Charles Manson
Charles Manson's life was full of crime and murder. Manson's life of crime started as a child, and ended with him in prison for life.   During his criminal life, Manson had many people killed along with starting a cult and gaining dozens of followers.   Charles Manson was once called one of the most dangerous people in the world.
Charles Manson was born on November 12, 1934 (Rowlands 1).   He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the birth parents Kathleen Maddox, a 16-year old prostitute, and Colonel Scott.   His step father was named William Manson (Jameson 20).   His mother had run away from home at the age of 15, and joined the life of parties and drinking.   Because of this, his mother spent most of her time in various jails, and was unable to take care of Charles.   He spent most of his childhood living with relatives. In 1939, Kathleen and her brother were sentenced to jail for robbing a gas station (Rowlands np). Charles was sent to live with his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle were very religious people. His uncle constantly called him names like sissy, and even forced him to wear girl clothes in an effort to make Manson act like a man (Rowlands np).   In 1942, Kathleen Maddox was paroled from prison and took back her son.   Maddox was clearly unable to take care of Charles, because of her alcohol abuse and prostitution.   Some said that she would evenleave Manson with a neighbor and take off for several weeks to months at a time.   It was also once reported that Kathleen Maddox gave Charles to a barmaid trying to pay for a pitcher of beer (Rowlands np).
In the year 1947, Kathleen Maddox tried finding a foster home for Charles (Anastasia 21).   After finding none, Manson was sent to the Gibault School for Boys, which was in Terre Haute, Indiana.   After ten months of staying in this home for boys, Manson escaped to rejoin his mother.   After being rejected by his mother, Charles wound up on the streets living off of theft.   In Indiana,...
