The making of the Brooklyn Bluebirds
Describe the types of conflict that seem to exist with the Bluebirds organization. What are the causes?
    In the case of the Brooklyn Bluebirds there are a few different conflicts going on at the same time.   In the case between Trudy Mills and Marty Bellman, there is a substantive conflict. The reason being is because it is over work content.   Trudy hired Marty to be her team manager and help bring their record up.   Prior to hiring, Trudy knew about Marty’s “fighting ways” but probably did not think it was this bad.
    Marty refuses to listen to Trudy’s words because he wants everything to be done his way.   He proclaimed “You hired me to manage, and that’s just what I’m doing. Keep your nose out of my business. Obviously that is not what you want to tell your boss because that could just lead you into getting fired.
    Trudy is upset because Marty benched two of her best players and now both of them want nothing to do with the team.   You could also argue that Marty has a personal conflict being he will only listen to himself and no one else.   That attitude is definitely something he has to work out himself.   You could also argue that this is a procedural conflict. Even though Marty gets to make some decisions without Trudy’s consent, he needs to realize that there is a broad guideline on how things should be done.  
    The conflict between Russ Thompson and Trudy is a personal conflict. Russ is a five-year veteran and a starting first baseman.   Russ felt that he was getting underpaid in comparison to the other players Trudy brought in.   Russ brought in a lawyer for the situation but it ended in a disagreement which upset both Russ and Trudy.
    Finally, there is the situation between Marty, Russ, and Mickey.   This is a procedural conflict.   The reason being is because Marty feels that both Russ and Mickey are not playing to their fullest abilities and therefore benches them. Russ’s reasoning for not playing so...
