The game of football is any of several similar team sports, of similar origins which involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball with the foot in an attempt to score a goal. With a game like this, the spirit of teamwork is of the essence.

In Ancient Times, Greeks and Romans had their share of the feeling in such a great game. A game which was nearly banned to be played by anyone is today, the only sporting game to unify so many people from different racial backgrounds as one.
As years passed by, the game of football was modified and it rules made it much more interesting and competitive. And that was how I developed a passion for the game.

Soccer is the world's most popular sport. It is the national sport of most European and Latin-American countries, and of many other nations. Millions of people in more than 140 countries play soccer. The World Cup is held every four years. Soccer is one of the most famous international sports. Soccer is known world wide and is played in the Olympics.

My Football   name is ‘Carlos’. I am ‘20 Footballs’ of age. I am 6 ‘Football’ feet tall and I attend Nanjing University of ‘Football’, or so my friends use to describe me anytime they want to have a laugh out. I grew up in a very remote part of Nigeria, a developing country in the western part of Africa. Made my way through the educational hierarchy and still loved the game of football. Unlike now, where nearly the ratio of football to a child is 1:1, we used to roll up rubber bands in a ball look-alike shape and then use bigger stones as goal post. Only the rich could afford to have the gadgets for this game. Playing long hours after class periods under the sun on fields which had little or no grass.

We would save money and run on empty stomachs just to get tickets to watch professional football matches. We would debate and even bet on who was to be the winner all the way to the match arena and back home. It was the only sports I loved and my room’s décor gives a great...
