“ I Suddenly Woke Up”

    It was 8:30pm and our Mother told my little sister, Lili , and I to get ready for bed. We needed to brush our teeth, comb our hair, wash our faces, and use the restroom because you know how the little ones are, always forgetting and waking up in the morning with an unpleasant surprise. As Mother and Father kissed my head and said “Sleep Tight and Don’t Let The Bed Bugs Bite”, I started to laugh, like I do every night. She said, “Sweet Dreams”, and turned off the light. My Father says something different every night, so you never   know what he is going to say. His words tonight were, ”Good Night” and   then closed the door, which was different from usual. It meant that something had happened at work and that he didn’t want to talk about it. As I laid in my nice warm bed, with our dog Cassidy, at my feet, then closed my eyes and finally fell asleep.
    It was a beautiful Saturday morning, not a cloud in the sky, just a perfect day to go down to the creek and go fishing. With my pole in one hand and a bucket in the other, I headed down the drive way and onto a dirt road, leading straight to the creek full of cold slippery rainbow trout! There were a lot of people fishing today which was not normal, so I had to walk down along the creek a little further than usual. I found a great fishing hole where I could see fish splashing. I dropped my bucket and I cast my bait towards the fish. I started catching fish like crazy one after another. They were the most beautiful rainbow trout I had ever caught!
    As I   was putting the tenth fish into my bucket, I heard something hit against a rock and I looked down and saw a ripple in the water. I thought it was the biggest trout I had ever seen. To my surprise, it was a suitcase. Where did it come from? It wasn’t there a little while ago! How did I miss seeing it there? I put down my fishing pole, grabbed the suitcase and opened it.
