Some people think students should be educated together with other students. Do you agree or disagree?

It is generally accepted that students differ in the capacity of acquiring knowledge and skills. Given that some tend to be more intelligent than others, some people think of separate teaching as a more efficient way. As far as I am concerned, it is totally wrong. Students should be educated equally.

High IQ of students does not mean they can handle their emotions well. To the contrary, they are far more likely to become unmotivated and frustrated when their academic performances do not meet their requirements. As a result, they are apt to develop negative character traits. Making friends or communicating more with those average students offers them chances to learn how to deal with bad scores. This, in turn, enables who want to get better scores to learn skills from the gifted students. This is a win-win teaching strategy.

Besides, separating intelligent students from others will inevitably exert adverse impact on some students’ mental health. Some so-called untalented students consequently feel like being discriminated against and tend to hate go to school.

Admittedly, many talented students may be led by badly-behaved students into bad habits such as getting addicted to video games and alcohol, since it is difficult for youngsters to distinguish right from wrong. However, this problem should not be taken as an excuse for separate teaching. It can be tackled by strict monitoring and fine guidance of teachers.

In conclusion, despite some drawbacks, educating all equally makes for students learning from each other and bettering themselves together. Moreover, they can be overcome with our efforts.
