Perrier Melt  
Like many Ads nowadays it takes a second or two before you realize what the ad is selling. At first glance, all you see are the numerous melting objects and an attractive young girl in a night club. Until finally amongst the dim night club of silver, gold, and brown your eyes are drawn to the only thing in the room that's not melting, a small green bottle that reads “Perrier”. The message is obvious when your stuck in sweltering heat reach for the cool refreshing taste of “Perrier” but is that there main message. I think what is more important than the obvious fact that they want you to buy their product, is the less obvious traits that they want you to associate Perrier with.
We can tell by the disco balls and the DJ that the setting of the ad is that of a night club, thus associating the Perrier drink to the night life. This club is filled with the stereotypical skinny girls in expensive dresses that is so often associated with beauty in   modern ads. The background is dark and draws little attention to it, but the scene gets clearer the closer you get to the the product.   Surprisingly the light gets the brightest directly above the woman instead of the bottle. A woman dressed in pink high heels, a bright twinkling gold dress, and surrounded by an expensive phone and purse. All signs of superiority, the gold dress in particular gives off a feeling of elegance, sophistication, and beauty. She is competing with another woman in an attempt to grab the main product being sold, drawing the focus of the ad onto the bottle of Perrier. So why would the light be the brightest on the voluptuous lumps of this beautiful woman instead of the main focus of the ad, because her cool elegant sexuality, is what really is being sold.
