The beautiful glamour photography of Eugenio Recuenco is an absolute inspiration simply due to the unique scenes and various lighting techniques portrayed within every image. Recuenco is revered as one of the best fashion photographers of our time, his unique outlook, is unmatchable. His work is creative and on many occasions surreal, or “fairy tail-like”. Many creative departments of catalogues and agencies define his style as “cinematographic” or “pictorial”, causing him to become the top preference for both an aesthetic and marketable ad photograph. In Spain he shoots exclusively for Vogue and other widely known international fashion magazines. His campaigns include prestigious brands such as Chanel (Spanish market), Boucheron, Carolina Herrera, Louis Vuitton (Spanish market), Custo Barcelona, Carrera y Carrera, Caramelo, Cimarrón, Caroche, Florentino, Myrurgia, etc.. He initially began shooting with a Rolleiflex medium format camera with the majority of his fashion ad photographs, and has since began shooting digital.
Recuenco’s “fairy tails” series is   the greatest inspiration to me, the vision put fourth into the scenes, the perfectly lit models and the vast array of pastel colors in the shots are so well done that you can’t help but admire them all. What I favor most is the scenes he so perfectly portrays, as though he’s in an entirely different world capturing the moments as they occur. All of the models in his photographs are posed so well and on occasion, in very unique manners. Absolutely every image is different, and tells its own tale which brings about an even greater respect for his ability to incorporate fashion ads into some of his unique “story” photographs. To have his lighting abilities and vision to create the scenes in which he has so abundantly captured , would be an amazing skill to gain.
