How does Ralph begin to establish authority in chapters 1 and 2?

The first evidence of how Ralph begins to establish authority is when he gives a hint to Piggy that he’s the one in charge, he will decide what things are to be done here. This is shown on page 11 where it is quoted ‘Careful! You’ll break it’ and Ralph replies absently saying ‘Shut up’. Ralph straight away gives Piggy the sense that he is the right one and he is not to accuse him again.
The second piece of evidence I have found is that Ralph is the one who gets the conch shell to work so he must have thought of himself as great and must have felt proud of himself because without that the boys wouldn’t have met and so he takes this opportunity to take control and have an assembly. This is shown on Pg 12 where it is quoted ‘A deep harsh note boomed’. Following on from this point, Jack brings into the question of who has to be chief and so this is just the start of Ralph gaining authority as he wins the vote over Jack. This is shown on Pg 19 where it is quoted ‘Ralph counted. I’ll be chief then’. There is also the factor of Ralph gaining authority over Piggy as well because on Pg 21 when Ralph, Jack and Simon go to investigate, Piggy is left behind and Ralph pays no attention to him and it his Ralphs’ quote ‘You are no good on a job like this’. These words imply that Ralph and the other two are acting as if they are real explorers and investigators which mean that Ralph is trying to tell Jack that he is in charge.
Ralph also shows his authority when Jack has an encounter with a pig. It is quoted “You should stick a pig” said Ralph fiercely. Fiercely...
