The lights go up and we see a woman, most likely in her mid-thirties, on the stage of a cooking show. There are pots and pans all around and fresh veggies. "Hello everyone and welcome to Veg Out. Today, I’d like you to show y'all how to make vegan chili." She smiles and starts prepping her kitchen for the show while talking. "What is veganism, some might ask. Well, veganism is a lifestyle where you don't eat meat, or eggs, or dairy products. You also don't use animal products, such as honey or furs. "Hello everyone, my name is Meghan and I’d like to tell you the best fact about a vegan diet, and then dispel one myth about it also. The fact is that a vegan diet is free of cholesterol and is very low in saturated fat. Where do you get cholesterol then? (1)
Egg yolks, meat, poultry, shellfish and whole- and reduced-fat milks and dairy products are the biggest cholesterol holders. The one myth that should be dispelled is that veganism is expensive. Well, think about this for a moment: People who eat meats often...
