Andrew Jackson champion of the people

      Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He enters the White House in 1829, after winning the second of two strongly fought election campaigns. When entered in the House president Jackson restructured the office of the president and help shape the Democratic Party. President Jackson was less educated than the previous president, but had the knowledge to help the Battle of New Orleans and became known as a hero. As a result of the war, Jackson was put into the national fame in the war of 1812. One of Jackson goals during the presidency was to protect the people as much as possible.   Jackson had pledged to reduce the national debt and was opposed to the rising number of bills before Congress that proposed to finance. He decided to just eliminate the national bank to save future problems.   Overall, Jackson was a champion of the people many reason such as: war hero, winning people vote, and forming Democratic Party.

      To being with, president was the champion of the people because he won the popular vote in all 3 elections. Andrew was clearly the people’s favorite and sometimes not even viewed as a president. Andrew Jackson was a man elected by the people and was completely for the people. Many historians today believe that he acted like a king and abused his power, but a king does not care about what the people want and does not listen to them. Jackson does the exact opposite of a king and listens to the people. If it wasn’t for people voting, then Jackson would have become president.
      Many people viewed Andrew as a regular American because was a westerner. Most people down west aren’t as educated as others. He fits in as any other person growing up. The people saw him as someone just like them. He treated all people the same and understood their needs. For instance, he saw blacks and whites as equals and respected the lower class people.
