Text Slang

IS TEXT SLANG REALLY DUMBLING YOU DOWN ?

Do you find yourself sneaking the little 'u' or 'ur' into your daily written work ?
Are you constantly using texting and using text language ? Well using text language is becoming more and more popular, and trust us- it's not a good look.

Can you understand this:

Omg Lol hha, ur soo kul hha not lol jk ily u sfm, kk cya ttyl :)

We best most of you can. When you were children, this new 'language' was unheard of. Now it's a world wide language within all age ranges. Yes we know that text language is quick and easy, but actually it is very off putting, uneducated and dumb.

The consequences:

If you use text language too much, it may become habit to you. In some cases, people have filled out job applications, in which they have absentmindedly used text slang. They don't get the jobs because they seem uneducated and not smart. There was a survey, in which teachers had said that over 34% of students have absentmindedly used text slang in their essay papers, research papers and other important work.
The problem:

The problem is Text language. Is this really how you want your children and their children to be speaking ? Do you want text talk to become an actual language ? Well it's a crazy idea but we need to be prepared and take action. Anything can happen. How do you think english was created ? This way of speaking is becoming more and more common and people are using it more frequently in their everyday lives. Text slang is a problem and we need to stop it now.

Solution:

Well, we all know that we can't get every person in the world to stop using text slang. But if we make people more aware of the risks, we can get more people to stop using it. This may be killing our educated english skills and language. People may be becoming dumber and less intelligent by not using proper english. If we make people more aware, we can hopefully make our generations and generations to come more smarter and more proper....
