       Travelling to a new destination with unusual habits and traditions can be a very traumatic experience. You’ll shock because of the different in culture. A lot of people fly off without any research and expect things to be done in exactly the same way as they were at home, well this just isn't going to happen. In my opinion, to learn or work successfully in a foreign country, you should follow its culture for a couple of reasons.

      First of all, you should follow the new culture in behavior to fall in line with local people. Remember that it’s hard to success in job if you’re so different with local people in language, behavior, etc...Therefore, the most important thing is that you must   learn the local language to communicate with the citizen. If you don’t, you can’t study or get a job. In some situations, you can use the third language such as English to learn or work, but it isn’t convenience to make friends, to go to market. It will make an enormous amount of difference to you if you learn a little or as much as possible of the local language. Take up classes and practice it as much as you can. This small step will make your life a lot simpler and will also give you immediate respect when you live in the foreign country. Besides that, you should learn how to treat with foreigners. For example, you must avoid basic hand gestures or signaling that is considered acceptable in your country of origin because it may not be abroad. Some potential rude hand gestures abroad are the "ok sign", "peace sign", or finger gestures. I have an example for this case. This occurred two years ago when my friend went abroad to study.
