In the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxely, they have two worlds; the new
world people are made from tubes and the reservation they are born naturally. I
believe that there is a connection through the government in Brave New World,
1984, and the video clip on you-tube. The government seems very powerful and
manipulating in all three and the video definitely shows how the government has
this power and how they use it. I believe that every government had a strategy in
these three sources and it shows us in the books how they used their strategies.
In Brave New World I see that the government has these chemical machines
that make humans in the New World and it makes them like the cold and dislikes
the hot (Huxely). The government has control over people already if they can
make them in tubes and make them dumb. Why would we want the government
to control us? How will this help there economy succeed? All they want is them
to feel satisfied all the time. They never really have had anything they do not
want. They always use soma for happiness they never really know what
unsatisfied is. They are handed everything to them. They work but it does not
seem boring because they are made to be stupid. What kind of government
does this? Obviously this author wanted to show us how the government will turn
out to be in the future and the future is not really looking good. Many people
have different beliefs and you are just born with different families. If you are born
in the New World you do not have a family but if you were born in the reservation
you have a family. The government as you can see is scheming the New World
because who else would have the power to make babies from chemical
machines (Huxely)! This book is wicked and confusing but I see how the
government wants to rule the world. It takes peoples minds and just makes them
stupid and happy. There really are not many...
