“I had a dream!” This is one of the most famous quotes spoken by Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. If I had the amazing opportunity to spend a day with a historical figure, I would choose Dr. Martin Luther king junior. I would choose him for many reasons. Two reasons I would pick him are that he did so much for the rights of African Americans. Also, he stood up for what he believed in no matter what. Dr. King is the person I would choose to spend a day with.
As I previously stated, Dr. Martin Luther King Junior was credited to making African Americans obtain more rights. He did so much to get this. For example, he organized a boycott where many African Americans stopped riding the bus. As a result, bus companies lost tons of money and   finally allowed African American   people   to sit anywhere on the bus that they wished. Also, at the age of thirty five, Martin Luther King Junior was the youngest man to receive a Nobel Peace Prize. When notified of his selection, he announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.
Next, I would definitely choose to spend a day with Martin Luther King Junior because he always stood up for what he believed in no matter what! For instance, he even spent some time in jail for fighting for the rights of his people. Specifically, he participated in the Montgomery bus boycott, spoke against the racist law enforcement, and disobeyed laws which he believed were unjust. Also, he even died fighting for freedom. Specifically, on the evening of April 4, 1968, while standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was to lead a protest march in sympathy with striking garbage workers of that city, he was assassinated.
If I had the chance to spend a day with a historical figure I would pick Martin Luther King Junior. Two reasons I would pick him are that he did so much for the rights of African Americans. Also, he stood up for what he believed in no matter what....
