Poetry has often been used as a metal health medium.   Often through words people are able express ideas that would be otherwise painful to talk about.   When looking at the power of words we see that it allows us to explore a whole range of emotions without having to show them outwardly.   The poems do not need to follow any sort of pentameter to have a therapeutic effect on the subject.   It also becomes increasingly helpful to share in a group setting.   When one finds out they are truly not alone in how they feel healing can begin to take place
