Add and I are finally back in Canada for another little trip.   This is our first trip home in two years.   It's our dad's 60th birthday today so we're just having a "family day".   It's funny how not much changes here.

I think Shanghai changes more in one week than Canada changes in a year.   I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing, it's just something that I notice when I come home.

It's great being here in July and August though.   I forgot how nice and beautiful the land and air is.   The only problem is that life is so easy for so many people here that I kind of notice a certain "laziness" with the thinking in our culture.   It's possible to live in a pretty nice house and raise a family here without too much effort, compared with most of the rest of the world.   Education and medicine are paid by the government. People really have little stress.   I'm not sure that Canadians realize how lucky they are to have so much land and no wars.

We're going to be taking lots of photos and making videos about where we live and sharing it with you guys.   It should be pretty funny at least.   It's amazing to experience your own culture after having been away from it.   If you've ever had this experience, you'll know exactly what I mean.   Add and I are going for a walk in the forest now and taking the camera with us.   We'll show you what our town looks like.
