                          The history of GreenBay Packers Football Team

                        1920-1968
In the 1920’s The Packers team was created.
        The team was named after a meat/cheese factory. The packer’s first coach was Vince Lombardi.
      Vince was the strictest coach ever. He constantly yelled at his players, to practice. Even though his method of coaching was wrong, The results showed in the games. Green Bay won 5 championships. The championships before were only played in the AFL.
Later in 1965 , The NFL joined thus making the arrival of the Super Bowl.
          1968-1990
    After Vince Lombardi died, The next few years were struggles. The Packers were in rebuilding mode. Finally in 1968 The Packers won the First Super Bowl! They won the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Bart Starr, the Quarterback of the Packers was named MVP. Similarly next year, The Packers won again! . In honor of Vince Lombardi, The Vince Lombardi Trophy was born. The MVP of the Super Bowl got this trophy every year. Sadly after these accomplishments, the Packers plummeted to bottom of the standings. Then after 25 years, their luck sparked. They drafted a Franchise Quarterback. His name was Brett Favre.

1990-2008
  He was previously with the Falcons as a back up Quarterback. Brett got his chance to start in 1992.
  His first game was terrible. He completed 14/34 passes and passed for 106 yards. However , he led them to win with his late touchdown drive. Now the Packers were sure that they had found their Quarterback, which they had lacked after Bart Starr.
In 1996 Favre had one of his best seasons of his career. He threw for 4028 yard and threw 37 touchdowns. This led to Favre being named MVP. In the playoffs the Packers brawled and refused to get knocked out. Soon the Packers were in Super Bowl 31.
  Their opponent was the mighty New England Patriots. For the Packers the game started out with a bang. Favre threw two straight touchdown to lead...
