The Last Chirstmas

Last Christmas was the most exhausting day. I expected the last Christmas a lot, because that was my first time to spend Christmas in foreign country. However, now, I don’t want to bring that day to my mind anymore. Here is my story about last Christmas.

During the last winter vacation, I travelled to the west part of the U.S. My original plan was to come back to Atlanta on Christmas after travelling, and it included transfer flight at Chicago airport. Accidently, I met a Korean friend who was also travelling same place with me, and he invited me to Chicago where he lives. So I changed my second flight schedule (from Chicago to Atlanta) to stay Chicago about three days.

On Christmas morning, I started to go to the Los Angeles international airport. I was so excited, but on the way to the airport, unfortunately, another car hit ours on the backside. I buckled up that time, and it was a very light accident. Nevertheless, I was really scared. It was my first automobile accident of my whole life! However, that accident was only just the beginning of the exhausting day.

I arrived at the Chicago airport around 2 p.m., and my friend was waiting for me at the airport. First, we went to his dormitory and took off my luggage. It was only late afternoon, but I felt hungry. Actually, Chicago’s time is two hours earlier than Los Angeles’ because of the time difference. My friend wanted to show me the John Hancock center, which is very famed for good place to see the night view in Chicago, and he told me that the 1st floor of that center is a famous restaurant called the Cheesecake Factory. So, we went out of his dormitory to go there.

By the way, the way to the center was a kind of weird. Every shop closed which we went pass by. I asked him, “Are you sure that they’re open?” and he answered “Of course, I’m sure.” Actually, in Korea which is my country, almost every restaurant and pub has a variety of events on Christmas. I usually met my friends in downtown in Seoul...
