Is honesty still the best policy, or we'll hurt our own self by following this outdated philosophy, does it still helps to be honest, if yes then how? Well, lets take a look at honesty as a personal policy today.

To be honest means to be free, happy, at ease and these are all attributes of a successful person, honesty is really the best policy, if it is understood and implemented after understanding it with an open mind and implementing it with some honesty.

In today's world where everything is changing fast and it is very difficult to keep pace with time, our values too have seen a considerable degradation. Today words like "professional", "practical" seem to be more relevant then "honesty", because honesty isn't a marketable commodity. It can't be utilized for material gains, it can only provide peace of mind, a feeling of satisfaction. May be it has some value but do we have a little time to discover its benefits and relevancy in today's world.

Honesty is another word which describes transparency in our personal life. Anything which is transparent lets us view through it, there is no guess work or doubts about what is behind the object. If we are honest we are transparent not only to others but also to ourselves, which solves a number of problems in our life, removes unnecessary tensions residing in our mind. We don't have to hold unnecessary burden that dishonesty carries.

Honesty is the best policy and everyone of us will approve this once they are able to see how it helps us to keep cool and get better results in personal, social and professional life. Today honesty is used as a quote but it actually holds enough weight even today.
