Daydreaming

Is escaping into daydreaming a better approach to run away from your troubles? Many people use daydreaming as a way to escape their daily life or even the moment that they are in. The way I see it, people should be realistic and face their problems instead of ignoring them.
First of all, swapping your reality with your head in the clouds will prevent you from thinking of your problems. There is a time where daydreaming can be functional and useful, but other times it can make you lose focus and fail to remember important things. For instance, if you’re trying to accomplish something essential, daydreaming can halt your work and cause you to either slow down or stop for a minute.
Another major reason is that daydreaming can be harmful to your mental health if you are constantly having negative feelings. While most people daydream about fantasies and other pleasing events, others might be dreaming about doing something destructive to themselves or others. It is almost like a plan rather than a fantasy. When it involves something that could cause mischief, daydreaming is likely to be a dangerous act.
On the other hand, you can use daydreaming to your benefit. It allows your mind to wander and forget about reality for some time. Some people even find solace in daydreaming. This point can help you keep your sanity when you are going through a hard time. By letting yourself to escape from a hectic problem, you can return to the situation with a new attitude and a solution to the problem.
All things considered, it seems to me that daydreaming normally has a negative connotation. I strongly believe that people should face their problems instead of running away from them. Because running away from your problems is a race you’ll never win.
