Our Life in a Nut Shell

Im 4 yrs old, and its cold outside on my first year of school. Im wearing my big jacket & I hear your laugh, I look up and run to hug your leg. I get in our car, & fall asleep on the way home. I don't know why all the trees change in the fall, but I know I have the best days with you.
          I'm 13 & I don't know how my friends could be so mean. I come home crying & you hold me & grab the keys. We drive until we find a place to talk, & eat ice-cream. We talk until I forget all there names, & I don’t know who im going to talk with at school tomorrow, but I don’t care because I’m laughing in the car ride home with you. Im not sure how long its going to take, but I know I had the best day with you that day. I grew up in a small house, & we had a lot of space to run & play. One day we heard loud, noises & you went outside to check it out. I cried because I thought something would happen to you, but then you walked in & said everything would be fine...
          I have an excellent father, & your strength is making me stronger. Im 16 now & Iknow why all the trees change in the fall; I know you’re on my side even when I’m wrong. I love you for giving me your eyes, and staying to watch me when I shined. I know you try your hardest to get me what I want, and it doesn’t seem like I appreciate it, when I do. I wasn't sure if you knew, so im taking this chance to say: My best days are when im with you!
