The inspirational day started by "Excuse me, Mr. Valles you have a phone call in the office you needs to take," the voice of the school's secretary interrupted. As I walked down to the office with my father, I wondered if it was my mom calling to say she was about to have my baby brother. She had told me a couple of days before that she thought she was going to have him some time that week. I couldn't really decide on my feelings towards the news I was about to receive. Sure enough, when my father picked up the phone it, was my mom. She was going to have my baby brother. Part of me was really happy, but I also knew things were going to be much more different. I could not decide if it would be for the better or worst.

I can still remember the day I found out my mom was having another baby. I was in the back yard playing, when my mom called me into the house, and said, "I have got some good news, you’re going to be a BIG BROTHER." My jaw fell. I tried to hold back the tears that were so close to dropping from my little eyes. They asked what I thought about my baby brother. I didn’t know what to think or say. All that I could think about was how this was going to change my gifts and presents. I thought that my mom would not be paying any attention to me anymore. How could she possibly have any time to spend with any with me when he comes around? My interrupted my time of sorrow, "She asks what's wrong?
