What is Doping ?
'Doping' is the word used in sport when athletes use prohibited substances or methods to unfairly improve their sporting performance.

Why is doping in sport prohibited ?
The use of doping substances or doping methods to enhance performance is fundamentally wrong and is detrimental to the overall impact of sport. Drug misuse can be harmful to an athlete's health or to other athletes competing in the sport. It severely damages the integrity, image and value of sport, whether or not the motivation to use drugs is to improve performance.
To achieve integrity and fairness in sport, a commitment from athletes is critical, but the fans watching their favourite athletes competing also need to demand that athletes succeed.
What is the World Anti-Doping Agency ?

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is the international independent organization created in 1999 to promote, coordinate, and monitor the fight against doping in sport in all its forms.
Composed and funded equally by the sports movement and governments of the world, WADA coordinated the development and implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code (Code), the document harmonizing anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries.

As Athlete, what I need to know about Doping ?
An Athlete could be controlled in and off competition to ensure the equity of his performance.
Every Athlete needs to take in account the prohibited list of medication (this list could be find in our site in the page Usefull Downloads) and know exactly through WADA Code the rules of Drug-Free Sport.
