ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011

The ICC Cricket World Cup is the premier international championship of men's One Day International (ODI) Cricket, organized by the sport's governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the tenth Cricket championship, played in Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. It was Bangladesh's first time co-hosting a World Cup. All matches had been played at 50 over’s. Fourteen national cricket teams competed in the tournament, including ten full members and four associate members. The World Cup 2011, held between February and early April 2011, with the first match played on 19 February 2011 with co-hosts India and Bangladesh facing off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The opening ceremony was held on 17 February 2011 at Bangabandhu National Stadium Dhaka, two days before the start of the tournament.
The biggest upset of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the defeat of England by Ireland. Ireland's Kevin O'Brien made 100 in just 50 balls (and a total of 113 off 63 balls), the fastest World Cup Century and Ireland made the highest successful run chase in World Cup history beating Sri Lanka's 313 against Zimbabwe at New Plymouth in New Zealand in 1992.
Pakistani cricket has a history of legendary athletes who showed great performances in the past in the limited overs and test cricket matches as well. We have a long list of great batsmen and bowlers making impact worldwide. Starting the innings has been always a challenge for Pakistani cricketers. However, in the instant match, fighting with the contestants’ Pakistan reached the Semi Final against India but regretted to say that such a winning team had lost its victory and the ICC Cricket World Cup reached its culmination at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday when former champions India and Sri Lanka clashed for the trophy in the first-ever all-Asian final of the mega event.
