Famine

Scarcity, starvation, dearth, and destitution are all synonyms for the word famine which is an extreme scarcity of food. In a famine there is a shortage of food and other essential necessities that one needs to survive and live a normal life. In this paper I will discuss famine as a whole and causes, effects, and other factors surrounding the topic of Famine: a natural disaster.

A famine is a social and economic crisis usually increased by extensive malnutrition, starvation, epidemic and increased mortality. Famine is not only in food!! It is in water also. Famine happened because drought, crop failure and other causes represented through war. However, famine emerges because of lack of manpower, lack of livelihood, government not assists them, and other reasons emerge and originate the famine. Famine makes a great disaster. Famine leads to destroy cities, towns and countries. Famine is cause in death of millions of people in year. If look to Africa and see them how they live a very harsh circumstances because of famine. Because of famine people begin to starve, children begin to die and women cannot support their families. They live and see how their children die because of famine. Famine is not like other disasters it makes some people eat their skin. Consequently we heard and we saw in the TV how peoples in other countries especially in Africa died, eat the sand, make anything to eat, and they live and their bonds is absolutely   appear. Famine is a natural disaster grew up because the careless of the government.

Famines are found in every age in our history. In 1866 a great famine broke out in Orissa. One-third of the Orissan people died of it. But now it is the age of science. So, famine can be controlled within short time. Because other parts of the world can make a quick supply food grains. Canals and reservoirs...
