By Greg Stobart | Northern Correspondent

Liverpool’s owners are famously fond of statistics, but it needs little interpretation to fathom that the club’s current position in the Premier League falls well short of this season’s expectations.

Dalglish confirmed on Thursday that he will be required to provide a written report to the American owners at the end of the season as part of a wide-ranging review into what has gone wrong in the Premier League.
