Public schools or government schools, these schools are financed by the government. Unfortunately the majority of these schools are in poor condition.
There is no system of merit, teachers and other staff are appointed by the ministers. There is no accountability, a large number of ghost schools and ghost teachers are listed in the documents. They are receiving funds and pays, but in reality they don't exist. In rural the buildings of public school are mostly held by Waderas and Feudal.
The elite class schools ( private schools)
Due to failure of the government in providing education the elite class education system in Pakistan emerged in mushroom. Today even poor prefer to send their children in these educational institution. It is generally accepted that students of the private schools are more competent then those of public schools.
The government should take serious notice of such type of dual system of education in the society. These are models schools to be compared with the public schools which exist in the public sector that is City School, Beacon House, Bloomfield Hall, Lahore Grammar School and American School etc.
In order to give quality education government should patronize private sector schools such Educators and Allied Schools associated with Punjab Group of Colleges to facilitate the poor section of society.
The fee structures of elite private sector schools ranges from Rs. 10000 to Rs. 15000.
The normal private schools charge from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 3000.
The public sector schools charge from Rs. 300 to Rs. 500
Questions
1. There is lot of disparities in our educational system it is difficult to standardize the education in Pakistan.
2. The schools in Public Sector are in poor condition.
3. The students of elite private schools are more competent than students of public sector schools.
4. Government should patronize normal private sector schools.
