Hemorrhagic Stroke
                            (Intracerebral stroke)
Definition:
Intracerbral hemorrhage-- bleeding occurs from vessels within the brain itself. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is the primary cause of this type of hemorrhage. Hemorrhages can be caused by a number of disorders which affect the blood vessels, including long-standing high blood pressure and cerebral aneurysms. An aneurysm is a weak or thin spot on a blood vessel wall. Aneurisms develop over a number of years and usually don't cause detectable problems until they break. My Paper is on my neighbor, who lives three houses down the street from where I live. My neighbors name is Poncho. He is an 82 year old Hispanic male with a long history of high blood pressure and alcohol abuse. Before the stroke, Poncho was a heavy drinker, and smoker. He would not eat mainly because of his severe prioritized alcohol addiction. Ponchos’ stroke (the incident) happened on August 24, 2004, (11 years ago) it was a very warm day and I’d have to say it was in the high 90s. I saw him earlier in the morning that day with a bag in his hand, and the contents of that bag, more so than not, contained a bottle of vodka. Later That afternoon the ambulance went to his residence and took him to the hospital. According to his family, his daughters said that he was walking and suddenly fall to the ground. He was fortunate that the neighbors were outside at the time of the stroke. The guys who were outside called 911.   Poncho was in the hospital here in Boyle Heights for about three weeks, and was discharged to a rehabilitation center for further treatment. For about 4 months he was there at the rehabilitation center until he was capable to come home. The cause of Ponchos stroke was evoked by his smoking, drinking and gross neglect of his high blood pressure. He did not eat properly and did not take his necessary medication. Ponchos after effects post stroke resulted in the following symptoms that I listed below....
