Part 2a:

In the passage “Sausages and Maggots” it was talking about how the dole was giving people disgusting food.   You could clearly see maggots in them and great big strips of fat pork, with absolutely no meat on them.   He was giving this type of food to people and he was getting money for it.   People were desperate for food during the depression so they ended up eating it, they had nothing else at this time.   This story relieved how poorly the government cared about what people ate.

B:In the passage “Two or Three Lousy Dollars” it demonstrates why the 1930's have often been called “a decade of hunger, cold and fear”.   After reading this article the question made sense to me.   It was called “a decade of hunger, cold and fear” because if a family didn't pay their rent the family would get kicked out of their house and a landlords had the right to sell their possessions to get his back rent and boy, some of those landlords didn't have any scruples.   All of the families belongings was put on their front year and the auctioneer would start.   For example their bed or mattresses would go for a dollar and a chest of drawers for 75 cents.   It was such an embarrassment to watch all of your stuff go away to people for such a cheap price.  

Part 3a:
As you can see in this picture above these four people are living in a undeveloped home, they are in unwashed clothes, the clothes are also baggy, they are unhappy, fairly skinny, unhygienic, no foot ware and a poor health care system.
In the next photograph above their shelter looks self made, they have no foot ware, unfitting clothing, poor health care system, they don't look very clean, unhygienic, unhappy and fairly skinny.
In the last photograph above it looks like the child second from the left is on crutches or something they made to help her walk.   They have a large family, having a large family during the depression was one of the hardest things because you had to try and supply food to everyone.   This...
