Public Enemies Historical Accuracy
Public Enemies is about Dillinger and how he lived his life as a bank robber. Dillinger and his team rob multiple banks during the great depression in 1933-1934. The movie is accurate to real life Dillinger and his team by showing three main scenes and the build up of his death the three scenes are the prison break in Indiana, Bohemia lodge, and Dillinger’s death outside of the Biograph Theatre. Also the Movie shows the war on crime and the clothes and guns used are actually what they used back then.

weapons in through the shirt factory by boxes of silk. They then attack the guard’s and have them lead
them out through the jail where they have a shootout with the guard tower and lose one of their men. In
reality the guns were not smuggled in through the shirt factory they were thrown over the prison fence
and Dillinger arranged this but was not there for this he was actually locked up in Ohio state prison
where he learned how to rob banks by other men in here. Burrough a man who wrote a non fictional
book about the 14 month time period of these crime states that the guns were actually believed to be
tossed over the prison fence and not smuggle in but in the movie its makes it easier because they are all
locked up and Dillinger is in there with them not at Ohio state prison. After this scene they start to plan
their next bank robbery and this is where things start to go wrong. Dillinger and his team after they lost
some of their members go to their first bank robbery after they have broke out of jail this is when baby
face nelson panics and shoots of his Thompson inside the bank killing multiple bank security and police
they flee the scene with the money and find a spot to lay low. Dillinger and Baby face nelson and 3 other
men go to a little lodge house called the Bohemia lodge road house. This...
