Murder in Manhattan
It was about 6 am in the morning when I woke up. I could feel the cold misty breeze gushing out of one of the windows. I could hear a faint chirping of a cricket. It was an unusual morning. My brain was currently processing through all the events in my life in the past few days. I was about to get of my bed just when my pager came to life. It was beeping constantly. It was an emergency transmission for me from the nypd . It seemed to me now that the nypd once again needed my assistance. The glory of the morning had suddenly disappeared as my brain was flooded with thoughts.   I washed up got dressed as soon as possible. I was asked to report to Williamsburg Street downtown East, Brooklyn. I had no idea of what lay ahead of me.
As soon as I reached the police station I was rushed into the station as there was an urgent case waiting for me. I was growing increasingly popular in the downtown area.   I was nicknamed the nutcracker as for my ability to crack the toughest of the cases.
One of the police men handed me the file. On the front page of the file it was written confidential in bold letters. This case was given the utmost priority by the nypd this morning.   I read the detailed report of the case which was written by one of lapds operatives.
The description was of a Caucasian male of age between 25 – 30. His name as per the driving silence was Andy Roberts. His social security no was ces10024. The cause of death was given as strangulation and asphyxiation his body was found on the bank of the river completely drenched with water. The actual place of death was uncertain he was a third year engineering student at john Hopkins institute in Washington d.c. this was suprising because his body was found almost 190 miles away from home . This raised many questions in my mind .I took leave from the police station
